Agropur is looking for a maintenance planner for a temporary position of indefinite duration.

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the maintenance planner supervises a team composed of mechanics, assistant mechanics, electromechanics, and laborers. They plan the work of their team based on plant priorities and aim to minimize production downtime. They ensure the follow-up of the plant's maintenance program at the preventive and corrective levels to minimize production stoppages. They manage the workshop's parts store optimally. They supervise the maintenance work of subcontractors. They participate in the execution of maintenance projects.

  • Salary scale 004: $71,200 to $89,000 (The base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)

What’s involved in this role:

  • Directing and planning the work of a team based on plant priorities to minimize production downtime (managing schedules and discipline);

  • Ensuring the application of the company's Quality (BPI) and Health and Safety policies by their team and subcontractors (lockout, confined space, hot work, work at height, etc.);

  • Ensuring compliance and optimization of the procurement process;

  • Maintaining minimum inventories of parts and equipment in the workshop;

  • Defining, organizing, and following up on the plant's preventive and corrective maintenance program to generate performance and operational efficiency;

  • Planning, preparing, and ensuring adherence to the work schedule during plant shutdown days;

  • Participating in the planning of the annual plant shutdown;

  • Ensuring compliance with operational budgets in their sector (labor, maintenance, and special projects);

  • Replacing the Maintenance Supervisor when they are absent.

What you need to join our team:

  • Bachelor's or college degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or any other equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
