International Congresses are critically important for Sanofi to engage with stakeholders for Sanofi and Regeneron’s flagship Alliance Immunology Franchise. The Global franchise is responsible for conventions that take place across the globe. A consistent presence of our franchise vision across geographies is key to commercial success. This success is determined by the right balance of commercial presence, customer engagement, commercial and medical symposia as well as solid preparation of these conventions and respective follow-up.

The International Congress S&O Lead role leads end to end Franchise-wide International Congress Strategy, including optimal investment and customer engagement strategy aligned with therapeutic area (TA) Commercial strategy, flawless execution of the congress plans, and drive consistency across the three TAs (Dermatology, Respiratory, Rhino/Gastro) within the Franchise.

This highly visible role will report to Head of Strategy and Operations, working in close collaboration with TA Heads, Market Development, Scientific Communications, HCP Marketing, Medical Affairs, Global Meeting & Events Management, and Regeneron Alliance team.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Congress Strategic Planning and Portfolio Optimization (30%)

  • Design franchise-wide annual Congress portfolio strategy through structured investment formulation in line with TA strategy and global brand plans

  • Develop performance KPI framework and track ROI/ROE targets for congress investments to drive continuous improvement

  • Provide data-driven budget optimization recommendations to congress budget holders based on year-on-year and x-TA analytics and insights  

  • Lead the implementation of One Sanofi Congress Excellence transformation (eQuartz) within the Franchise  

  • Maintain close monitoring of trends within and outside of the pharmaceutical industry to drive congress engagement strategy innovation

  • Advise Executive and Senior Leader Congress engagement plans

2. Congress Execution Orchestration and Excellence (50%)

  • Lead end to end execution of priority congresses (Derm, Respiratory, Rhino Gastro) from pre-congress planning to post-congress impact assessment  

  • Orchestrate cross-functional Congress tactical execution  

  • Manage Booth Champion program across the franchise including medical

  • Architect strategic communication of pre-/post Congress plans and impact across Alliance stakeholders (Global, Affiliate, Senior Leadership)

3. Strategic Partnership Management (10%)

  • Serve as a single point of contact for external Healthcare Provider Industry Associations

  • Provide strategic feedback and oversight on vendor services to GM&E who leads tactical vendor (logistics and booth builders) execution for continuous improvement

  • Oversee Alliance Congress partnership

4. Ad hoc Franchise level strategic planning and customer engagement projects (10%)

About You

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years congress management experience

  • Experience in digital activities/channels/operations

  • Strong understanding of customer engagement strategies

  • Thorough understanding of congress insights and content creation

  • Excellent communication and budget management skills

  • Demonstrated success in matrix environment

  • Innovative mindset with proven ability to challenge status quo

  • Decision-making ability based on defined frameworks

  • Experience defining KPIs and performance frameworks for events/congresses

  • Strong analytical ability to measure and evaluate ROI/ROE performance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Brand marketing and sales or other customer-facing experience

  • Alliance partnership experience

  • Vendor management and contract negotiation experience

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel. Onsite presence at key congresses for set-up and potentially takedown is mandatory, including weekend responsibilities.

The salary range for this position is:

$161,250.00 - $232,916.66
