Job Description:

Job Summary
This position develops and implements solutions related to a customer’s supply chain and develops recommendations to support customers’ strategic decisions. He/She utilizes various proprietary and third-party applications to perform analysis for developing transportation, distribution, logistics, inventory, and supply chain solutions. This position creates and provides customized supply chain solutions for UPS customers and generates consulting revenues. He/She strengthens customer relationships by enabling UPS to be a single source provider of transportation and supply chain related needs and consulting. This position manages various types of supply chain and distribution analysis projects, provides subject matter expertise, and coaches team members and customer-facing counterparts.

Responsibilities:

• Develops project plans based on customer feedback and assigns tasks to resources to ensure project are completed on time and according to specifications.
• Reviews documents to create work orders outlining solutions to be developed, associated tasks to be performed, and deliverables to be provided.
• Forwards project documents to stakeholders to obtain agreement on costs and resources.
• Identifies and works with all affected groups and functions to manage project impact.
• Researches and evaluates industry trends and best practices.
• Provides support by developing training materials for related groups.
• Reports on project status, field resource activity, and training initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or International equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or Logistics/Supply Chain – Preferred
• Experience in database management, Supply Chain Logistics, or network modeling – Preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience in database development and analysis - Preferred
• Consulting experience in the Supply Chain industry - Preferred
• Experience using Service Mapping applications such as ESRI and/or GIS - Preferred
• Experience using Supply Chain Logistics modeling applications such as Logic Net Plus or I-2 Strategist - Preferred
