As part of our global technology team of Trade Confirmations product, you will be working with a group of passionate engineers who work on building technical solutions to solve complex business problems.

We are going through a very exciting phase of transformation in OTC derivatives and Commodities domains in Markets Technology, and you will be required to participate in the whole spectrum of SDLC, closely working with product teams, business users and support teams. We expect you to help us in building a strong engineering culture within our global teams.

This role is for someone who is a strong technologist, enjoys solving engineering challenges, has experience in building robust and high-quality solutions, has excellent communication skills and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements
• Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
• Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
• Hands-on experience in professional software development, system design and implementing modern engineering practices.
• Proficiency in programming in Java, JavaScript or React, Python (Good to have)
• Experience of building RESTful APIs using popular frameworks like Spring
• Experience of working with event driven and distributed systems, microservices, micro-frontend UIs
• Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and clean code principles
• Experience with trunk-based development
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Proficiency with data structures, algorithms and SQL
• Experience conducting code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced agile environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams
• Knowledge of performance tuning, observability, and production monitoring.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and modern ways of working in product development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of using cloud services such as AWS and distributed systems such as Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, S3, any NoSQL database
• Experience of working in investment bank or financial services industry

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
