About the Role

Responsible for Embedded Value (EV) and Value of New Business (VONB) related reporting

Roles and Responsibilites:

1. EV / VoNB Prophet Workspace maintenance

  • Work efficiently within the team to ensure timely cash flows delivery for VoNB and EV related reporting.
  • Carry out investigation and explanation on unusual trend and support on EV / VoNB ad-hoc request for the line of business in-charged.
  • Work seamlessly with relevant team(s) to ensure model developments and impact assessments are properly implemented, explained and documented.

2. EV and VoNB Reporting

  • Manage and coordinate efficiently within the team to ensure timely delivery of cash flows for results compilation and management reports
  • Carry out investigation and confidently explain the result’s reasonableness, experience variance versus forecast, VoNB margin movement
  • Handle various stakeholders request/ enquiries on EV / VoNB confidently.
  • Communicate the results/findings/financial insights to the supervisor and Chief Actuary for any necessary management actions.
  • Actively participate in the strategy planning for EV / VoNB budget.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science and actively pursuing Actuarial Professional Exam in any actuarial professional body.
  • • Proficient in spreadsheet and programming, especially excel and Prophet.
  • • A good team player who is keen to learn and able to work independently.
  • • Highly motivated, results oriented and solutions focus
  • • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • • Possess at least 4 years of working experience in valuation and/or pricing field in life insurance.
