PGIM Portfolio Advisory (PPA) is a newly established investment business within PGIM responsible for providing institutional clients asset-liability management, portfolio strategy, and asset allocation solutions utilizing PGIM’s multi-asset class expertise with a focus on public and private credit. On behalf of its clients, PPA will oversee portfolio construction, execution, and management and will partner with PGIM affiliates including PGIM Fixed Income, PGIM Private Capital, and PGIM Real Estate to deliver best in class private origination, credit underwriting, investment research, and risk management capabilities across a full range of asset classes. 

The current EWA for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring weekly basis. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect

You will be empowered to contribute in a meaningful way, add new value to organization initiatives and effect change. The PGIM Portfolio Advisory Finance team is a small unit in a growing business. The team works closely with the business unit CFO, senior management, and other business partners. The team is responsible for forecasting financial results, management reporting, driving and adding value to strategic initiatives and providing key business metrics. 

The successful candidate will be working within PPA’s CFO organization where they will get exposure to a number of finance, operational, analytical and reporting functions. They will work closely with a small group of highly motivated finance, middle office, portfolio management and product / business development professionals. Given the youth of the PPA business, the candidate will be working in a fast paced ‘start-up’ culture within the larger and more established PGIM organization. The candidate will play an important part in supporting the growth and buildout of PPA’s business.

  • Performing various finance, accounting, and reporting functions.
  • Assist with quarterly management reporting on income statement, balance sheet and other metrics
  • Review, build and understand AUM & revenue forecast models and prepare various exhibits that drive financial results
  • Review, build and understand expense forecasting and actuals results
  • Own timelines associated with recurring quarterly deliverables
  • Partner with business management team to create a more robust strategic planning process
  • Partner with outsourced service providers to provide guidance and outline needs
  • Assist and own various finance and business project initiatives to enhance management reporting infrastructure
  • Assist in the development of business cases, evaluate new products and strategic initiatives in a timely manner
  • Assist with business specific special projects as needed

What you will bring

  • Familiarity of and ability to calculate investment management fees across asset classes
  • Ability to organize / prioritize tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships across separate functions / businesses
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial planning, reporting, or related fields
  • Previous experience in the investment management / insurance industry preferred
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $135,000-$145,000 USD Annual. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance
