Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for Weld manufacturing processes in all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance with safety standards, and environmental requirements.

What the candidate will do:

  • Evaluating the feasibility of engineering changes
  • Creating production routes
  • Making plant layout modifications
  • Developing APQP documentation
  • Improving manufacturing processes
  • Build products without previous documentation
  • Supporting the achievement of departmental and company objectives.

Degree Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.

What skills will the ideal candidate have

Quality Management:

  • Working knowledge of SPC analysis (Cpk,CP)
  • GD&T, CMM report interpretations
  • APQP experience

Engineering – Manufacturing:

  • Working knowledge using SAP, AutoCAD, CREO Parametric
  • Create routings and time studies to create the proper balance for the production line focus on the S&OP requirements
  • Capital projects experience
  • GMAW procedures and policies
  • Basic knowledge of design principles and use of fixtures

Problem Solving:

  • Hands on lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement ICAs (Interim Containment Actions) and PCAs (Permanent Corrective Actions).
  • Coordinate and lead “stop-to-fix” activities and follow up on action plans.

Decision-making and critical thinking:

  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques.
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and make productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Top Candidates have:

  • Green Belt Certification

Additional information

  • This position is located in Santa Catarina, Nuevo León.

  • The work schedule is Monday through Friday (6:24 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), with the option of shift changes and weekend work.

  • This position requires travel up to 10% of the time (domestic and international).

  • Relocation is not available for this position.
