Summary:
Owns end-to-end technical responsibility for middleware platforms (Tomcat, WebLogic, WAS, IIS, IBM MQ) across run, transition, and transformation phases. Acts as the SME for complex incidents, non-standard changes, performance tuning, upgrades, and architecture decisions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead L3/L4 support for middleware platforms:
- Architecture, sizing, and performance tuning for Tomcat, WebLogic, WAS
- Advanced IIS website and application pool optimization
- IBM MQ administration: queue managers, channels, clustering, HA/DR
- Drive middleware upgrades, patching, and version lifecycle management.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical issues.
- Own capacity planning, availability, and resilience of middleware services.
- Define and review SOPs, runbooks, and automation opportunities.
- Support transition, migration, and transformation initiatives (on prem to cloud, platform upgrades).
- Act as technical escalation point and mentor junior team members.
- Collaborate with security teams for vulnerability remediation and compliance.
- Participate in change advisory boards (CAB) and client technical discussions.
- Provide inputs for SOW scope, effort estimation, and SLA alignment.


Professional & Technical Skills:
Deep hands-on expertise in
- Tomcat, WebLogic, IBM WAS.
- IIS (advanced configuration, SSL, reverse proxy, integrations).
- IBM MQ (HA, clustering, CCDT, performance tuning).
- Strong knowledge of Java middleware architecture and JVM internals.
- Experience with HA/DR, load balancing, and clustering.
- Solid understanding of ITIL, incident/problem/change management.
- Experience in transition projects and managed services environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.
- Cloud middleware (Azure App Services, AWS EC2/EKS hosting).
- Automation using Ansible, Shell, PowerShell.
- DevOps integration (CI/CD pipelines for middleware deployments).




Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Apache Tomcat Administration.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
