What You Will Do:
 

The candidate will support strategic initiatives and operational activities at Guidehouse Clients. This position will be responsible for advising senior-level Client relationships, implementing strategic initiatives, executing long term programmatic planning efforts, strategically responding to emerging priorities, and operating within matrixed teams within a Client Office.

This Position will

  • Develop in depth knowledge of assigned client business areas and create enduring relationships with federal clients to become a trusted advisor providing ongoing support of investment management.

  • In support of client’s Capital Planning Investment Control(CPIC), develop investment artifacts: Business Case, Integrated Master Schedule, Investment Charter, Risk Management Plan, Annual Operational Analysis, Acquisition Management Plan, and Alternatives of Analysis.

  • Track capital investment business cases such as the performance and quality of operations, resources, project schedule and cost actual results and variance from planned, investment health status, and other factors or indicators.

  • Assist with definition and reporting of actual results for investment specific operational metrics

  • In-depth financial analysis of complex budgeting data.

  • Support client’s business units in defining, compiling and submitting annual IT budget requests.

  • Support client’s and business units in documenting IT project goals, objectives, budgets, business cases and processes in support of IT projects.

  • Develop corrective action plans to address client’s investment scoring; partner with clients to remediate feedback items.

  • Provide support for the implementation and documentation of the CPIC process.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent oral and written communications.

  • Experience preparing executive briefings and other written materials and presenting at an executive level .

  • Ability to work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given investment and perform all functional duties independently.

  • Ability to adapt communication style to effectively work with all levels within an organization.

  • The ability to determine course of action to solve various problems related to supporting a business case and a client organization.

  • Knowledge of financial planning and analysis, budgeting

  • Use cutting-edge platforms, tools, and associated analytical models to support strategic initiatives, project management, and knowledge management within client’s IT organization.

  • Lead managerial and supervisorial responsibilities include mentoring, coaching, and providing career and performance management of consulting staff.

  • Monitor the scope, schedule, and budget of technology projects.

  • Oversee client and stakeholder engagements to plan for and address risks and issues as they occur to ensure that projects remain on schedule and within budget.

What You Will Need:

  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS Public Trust.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum of TEN (10) years of management and/or technology consulting experience with SEVEN (7) years of project and/or program management experience.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Existing TSA or DHS Suitability.

  • Experience supporting federal government customers and/or prior experience within the federal government.

  • Relevant certifications including but not limited to: PMP and/or Scrum-master certification, SAFe Certification, ITIL Certification.

  • Showing extensive program management skills including the ability to liaise with technical and business teams and clearly articulate technology concepts to business audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience of hands-on experience providing writing support, go-to-market support, and interfacing with prospective new clientele as it relates to the field of technology management, IT strategy and/or analytics.

  • Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills targeting all levels of an organization and across business and technical functions leveraging visualization platforms (PowerBI, Tableau, Powerpoint).

  • Manage acquisition policies, processes, procedures, and requirements. Oversee, develop, and provide contract and procurement policies, processes, procedures, and requirements.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Process Modeling (Microsoft Visio, Workflows).

  • Familiarity with government CPIC practice and processes
