Job Description:

The Partnership and Network Marketing Leader is responsible for leading the development and execution of the full suite of Marketing Programs for PayPal that sit at the intersection of our Consumer, Merchant Network and Financial Institution Partnerships. The mission of this team is to develop game changing marketing strategies and programs to drive demand for our products and platform and to unlock new sources of mutually beneficial value creation with our partners, for our consumers.

This role will lead and manage a team of B2C Marketers to drive awareness, consideration and demand for PayPal’s existing and new products. Success will be defined by the delivery of customer outcomes including product distribution, product penetration, new customer acquisition, customer adoption and growth in customer value with and through our Merchant & Financial Institution Network. This is an opportunity to expand the positioning of PayPal as the world’s most trusted online payments brand to new environments and distribution channels by bringing to life our value proposition in creative and impactful ways for consumers around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Accounts and Business Development Marketing | Develop Partnership Marketing Strategies and Plans with the top Global Strategic Accounts for PayPal to drive PayPal brand relevance, new customer acquisition and engagement as well as revenue growth for partners & PayPal. Develop Marketing Plans to support the major incubations and initiatives of the BD team. Develop Playbooks and Marketing Platforms to elevate how PayPal shows up as a thought leader and critical partner to driving shared growth.

  • Financial Institutions Partnerships | Develop Partnership Marketing Strategies and Plans with our top Global Financial Institutions to drive reach and relevance for PayPal through leveraging partner rewards platforms, channels and member offers. Develop Playbooks and Marketing Platforms for the long tail of FIs in partnership with PayPal.

  • Cause Marketing | Develop strategies and Plans to grow Cause/Charities as a consumer flywheel for the PayPal network through growing brand relevance, consumer acquisition and engagement with giving products and platform.

  • Strategic Merchants | To develop end to end Marketing Plans to drive consumer acquisition and engagement through strategic merchants that represent our consumers top shopping destinations. Develop Playbooks to elevate how PayPal shows up as a thought leader and critical partner to driving shared growth.

  • Collaboration and Partnership | Partner effectively with internal teams to deliver best in class marketing across the marketing funnel, optimizing for delivery against brand, customer and efficiency metrics.

  • Leadership | Manage, mentor, and inspire the Partnership Marketing Team to achieve their goals, to contribute to the business and to develop, learn and grow while they build a successful marketing career at PayPal

  • One Team Leaderships and Transformation | Play a leadership role within the broader Global Marketing Team and the Country Leadership Teams. Contribute to building a high-performance marketing team renown for accountability, executional excellence, business impact and teamwork

Requisite Experience

  • Senior Marketing Leader with 15+ years’ experience, 10+ experience in leadership role

  • Retail Marketing SME

  • B2C Marketing expertise with B2B a plus

  • Global Operator with track record in working empathetically across multiple geographies

  • Commercial Acumen experience in budget & P&L accountabilities, linkage of investment to growth strategies

  • Growth Marketer demonstrated capabilities in developing insight led test and learn approach across end-to-end funnel for customer and business impact. Can operate with a start-up/growth hacking mentality

  • Customer Champion with demonstrated track record in designing marketing solutions with customer at centre

  • Proven team transformation experience in hiring, retaining, and coaching a team for peak performance

  • Brand transformation track record in the creation, transformation of a beloved global/regional brand

  • GTM execution across multiple markets with programs that have been scalable, and yet locally nuanced.
