TECHNICAL PRODUCT OWNER – CORE ENGINEERING

As a Technical Product Owner of the Core Engineering team, you’ll work closely with central team Platform Engineering teams to drive innovation, automation, improving reliability, and ensure compliance/security across our applications & infrastructure with strong customer obsession.

Key Accountabilities

• Accountable for shipping high quality centralised platform enabling CIO teams to focus purely on business code while removing all TOIL activities from them.
• Define and drive the strategy and road map for Container Platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE) with developer experience, SRE & automation mindset
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams to build scalable, reliable, and secure deployment solutions.
•  Automate manual processes, remove manual attestations and enhance self-service capabilities for developers.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Work with engineers to optimize deployment speed, reliability, and developer experience.
• Gather feedback from developers and stakeholders to continuously improve internal tooling.
• Ensure metrics are tracked via observability dashboards like lead time to deploy, build timings change failure rate, developer satisfaction., DORA metrics etc.
• Enable multi-cloud state migration and application abstraction / shim to allow function code to be agnostic of Cloud resources
• Maintain the product vision, roadmap and communicate effectively with the stakeholders including conducting showcases to demonstrate progress with benefits.
• Responsible for determining and prioritising scope from epics, features, user stories and dependencies in collaboration with the squads that aligns with business requirements.
• Make day to day decisions to enable development team to move quickly through product iterations.
• Ensure the Delivery and Development teams understand the value of each user story that is being delivered at the right time.
• Fulfil other tasks as assigned by your People Leader and/or authorized representative of NAB Vietnam from time to time.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of overall industry experience, with at least 5 years specializing as a Product Owner, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Understanding of Technology Cloud Infrastructure and software engineering technologies, able to present to CIO’s on the roadmap, carve out business benefits and demonstrate techniques to harvest them.
• Application & Infrastructure and Software DevOps techniques and automation • Strong customer mindset with automation being rule of thumb and demonstrating out of the box thinking
• Hands on experience on Container Platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE) and multi cloud platforms
• Experience with CICD, Infrastructure & release management
• Ability to demonstrate Customer experience by creating wireframes
• Strong data analytic skills with foundation driven with data
• Able to understand code, Terraform Plans, cloud engineering in combination with infrastructure, configuration and compliance as code
• Knowledge of integrating security into CICD pipeline
• A data-driven mindset with a focus on automation, reliability, observability and security.
•  Strong demonstration of Customer obsession leading the advocacy
• Excellent communication skills to align technical and business stakeholders.
• Understanding of Coding Assistant tools and how it can benefit SDLC lifecycle and improve productivity

Nice to have:

• Certified Product Owner or DevOps related certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes are preferred but not essential).
