About the Role

You will be an experienced senior dialysis nurse (at least 3 years experience in dialysis) working under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager St John's and the Renal Team at SVHM and be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care and support for correctional patients undergoing Haemodialysis in the satellite service at Port Phillip Prison.

  • Managing the physical and emotional well-being of the patients
  • Administration of medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies
  • Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings within the framework of nursing progress
  • Liaise with patient, medical and ancillary staff as required

Classifications for this position will range between YW11 - YW12 ($106,834.00  - $110,432.10 per annum pro rata).  

Your Contribution

  • Degree in general nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Current nursing registration with APHRA
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in Haemodialysis essential
  • Ability to work independently

About (St John's Subacute Inpatient Unit)

This position is based at St John's at Port Phillip Prison and involves working within a secure correctional sub-acute inpatient ward to deliver Dialysis services to people in custody
