RAC Auto Services is expanding and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Controller / Team Leader to join our Mandurah centre leading a talented crew of technicians and apprentices in a modern, fully equipped workshop.

What will you be doing? 

Reporting to the Centre Manager, this role leads and mentors a team of qualified technicians and apprentices and is responsible for: 

  • Oversee daily workflow, job allocation and repair order management.

  • Conduct quality control inspections and ensure diagnostic accuracy. 

  • Support hands-on servicing and repairs where required. 

  • Manage parts, stock and workshop operations end-to-end. 

  • Drive safety, compliance, and workshop efficiency. 

  • Liaise with members, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain RAC’s reputation for quality and care. 

What are we looking for in you? 

  • Automotive Trade Qualification (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology). 

  • C-Class Driver’s Licence and Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Licence. 

  • Proven leadership skills to be able to motivate, guide, and develop your team. 

  • Strong technical expertise in servicing, diagnostics, and fault-finding. 

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving ability. 

  • A genuine passion for delivering workshop excellence and member satisfaction. 

This role requires an individual with proven hands-on leadership ability and experience, excellent prioritisation, and organisational skills along with a genuine desire to develop themselves and others.
