Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, flexible

Summary:

As the Senior Compliance Technician, you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical testing on new and existing medical devices to show compliance to global product safety standards. This includes the development of expanded in-house testing capabilities as well as overseeing projects to meet the dynamic global product safety standards.

What You Will Do:  

  • Execute and document mechanical and electrical product safety testing in-house, ensuring compliance with standards and engineering requirements.
  • Review test plans and create efficient test sequences, adapting setups and test equipment as needed based on product requirements.
  • Travel to outside laboratories to witness, direct, and set up support equipment for electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests.
  • Work with engineering teams to set up the approvals lab for achieving Data Acceptance Program (DAP) certification.
  • Troubleshoot test failures and communicate issues to approvals engineers for resolution.
  • Create test protocols, procedures, and job aids to streamline testing processes.
  • Manage calibrated gauges for Compliance Engineering, ensuring timely calibration and addressing any out-of-tolerance issues.
  • Evaluate and purchase test equipment, software, and lab supplies to support ongoing testing needs.

What You Need:

Required:  

  • 1+ years of experience working in ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems
  • Familiarity with electrical measurement equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, multi-meter).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

  • Directly related testing experience
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical circuits and basic EMC testing concepts
  • Experience with soldering
  • Familiarity with PLC and LabVIEW programming

Travel Percentage: 20%
