Where We Need You 

We are looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our team in Boston. Protiviti works in a hybrid environment and this role requires that you work in-person in our office several times per week.  

What You Can Expect 

As a People & Culture Business Partner, you are responsible for delivering on key talent priorities with an emphasis on developing talent, performance management, integration of new hires, and employee relations specifically supporting our Boston and Toronto offices. 

 

You will effectively build and manage relationships with leadership and practice professionals to ensure the successful development, promotion and retention of our employees. You will have a solid understanding of the overall business strategy and needs of the practice as well as industry, solution and geographical trends. 

 

 

What You Will Do 

 

Developing Talent 

  • Serve as a partner to leadership on human resource-related issues. Owns employee engagement/nurturing for employees in their designated teams. 

  • Continually stay abreast of the strengths and development needs of practice professionals to make informed recommendations for attendance at development programs, and on-the-job learning opportunities. 

  • Works with employee performance issues, investigations, employee relations concerns, and project issues and escalate as appropriate. 

  • Actively engage in the performance management and compensation processes, including reading/analyzing employee engagement evaluations, tracking ratings, assist with performance assessment meetings and ensuring mid-year/annual reviews are completed timely for all practice employees. 

  • Collaborate with Talent Management to strategically assign practice professionals to client-facing and other roles (internal initiatives, training and faculty, community relations/social responsibility, recruiting, sales efforts, etc.). 

  • Team with the broader Talent Management group on how to create successful project/office environments (succession planning, rotations, etc.). 

 

 HR Support 

  • Investigate and resolve payroll and benefits issues. 

  • Manage employee recognition programs and processes. 

  • Oversee local new hire integration and follow-up on new employees to ensure a smooth assimilation into Protiviti. 

  • Conduct employee exit interviews and document areas for improvement, as well as manage attrition reporting. 

  • Assist with employee actions including new hires, transfers, leaves of absence and terminations 

  • Assist with ad-hoc leadership requests. 

  • Support leadership with HR related reporting requests. 

  • Participate in broader activities to support regional and national initiatives.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years), required  

  • 3-5 years of human resources or a related field, preferably in professional services, and or industry experience 

  • Professional certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred 

  • Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint 

  • Ability to travel between the US and Canada on a regular basis 

 

Our Hybrid Workplace 

Protiviti operates in a hybrid work environment, meaning all employees are expected to achieve a blend of in-person and remote work. The expected ratio of remote to in-person work will vary by team and other business factors. Local and/or out-of-state travel is required based on our project and internal client commitments.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.

$65,000.00 - $99,000.00

Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.

$68,250.00 - $103,950.00

Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
