What you will do

Sensormatic Solutions is the leading global retail solutions portfolio of Johnson Controls powering operational excellence at scale and enabling smart and connected shopper engagement.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Physical Security / Access Control and Video Systems server headend on physical, virtual and cloud OS instances.
You will Install, maintain and support Windows and RHEL OS, Red Hat Open Shift, SQL Server and VPN tunnel devices on Azure and AWS environments.
Additionally, you will maintain, configure and diagnose Software House and American Dynamics (core-products) and the connection to hardware devices on customer premises.
You will also provide system cost and performance management reports to customers.

How you will do it

  • Setup Cloud virtual environments to perform core product deployments for remote hosting.

  • Interface with Sales and System Integrators and End Users for technical project conditions required within the specific projects.

  • Assist Application Sales Engineering in feature demonstrations.

  • Perform system migrations, upgrades, maintenance of core-product headend.

  • Conduct webinars and other technical training modules for customers on product or solutions implemented

  • Maintain Active Directory, group policies and other infrastructure services for server maintenance.

  • Maintain and manage Azure or AWS environment for hosting servers.

  • Maintain RHEL OS, Red Hat Open Shift for microservices used by the core product.

  • Develop a library of scripts to automate cloud environments and containers.

  • Administer Software House CCURE 9000 and American Dynamics victor system Application

  • Document system deployments and technical environments

What we look for

Required

  • High School Diploma

  • 2+ years of experience in MS Azure or AWS Administration

  • Knowledge of Information Technology background required

  • SQL/T-SQL Skills strongly desired

  • Knowledge of networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) and protocols (TCP/IP)

  • Knowledge or understanding of Azure or AWS Administration

  • Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills and sense of urgency.

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, working remotely with minimal supervision and high level of attention to detail

  • Ability to be a team player at all levels of Johnson Controls and customer organizations

  • Ability to travel about 30% throughout the assigned United States.

  • Excellent written & verbal communications

  • Microsoft Office, database, spreadsheet and presentation software proficiency.

Preferred

  • Physical Security Industry preferred.

  • Knowledge of CCURE 9000 and American Dynamics victor is preferred.

  • BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator or AWS SysOps Administrator

  • Scripting skills preferred for success at this position
