What You Will Do:

• Accountable for delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective mechanical station designs in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Develop/ review /approve engineering designs.
• Responsible for a timely response to emergencies, safety incidents and investigations, and operations support.
• Facilitate required internal approvals and ensure compliance with external stakeholder needs (i.e., regulatory bodies, customers).
• Participate in the Stations Engineering On-Call rotation

• Work with EIT’s and co-op students
• Building relationship with other internal/external stakeholders

Who You Are:

• University degree in Engineering/Applied Science in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering with minimum 4 years work experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation.
• Experience and understanding of station design, pressure regulating, and control systems, heating systems, odorization, measurement, codes, standards, procedures, construction practices, and field operations.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including but not limited to CSA Z662
• Facilitation, project management and analytical skills with the ability to establish good working relationships and communicate/work with employees at all levels of the organization
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder skills – both written and verbal to internal and external audiences.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions:

• Office environment
• Some travel (up to 5%) to field locations as required. A valid Class G driver’s license is required.
