Position Overview: The fellow will support clinical research studies focusing on the epidemiology, diagnosis, and management of community-acquired pneumonia. This will involve providing advanced study design and epidemiological guidance and performing advanced statistical analysis. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and gain unique research experience in both observational data analyses and randomized controlled trials (RCTs) under the mentorship of our multidisciplinary faculty. Fellows are encouraged to develop their own research ideas and career development grant applications (K awards) during the fellowship, with full support from the Cleveland Clinic and CVCR faculty.
Qualifications: • Doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, medicine, or a related field by the start of the fellowship. • Experience in infectious diseases epidemiology, observational data analyses, large database analysis, or randomized trials is desirable. • Experience in the design, conduct, and analysis of epidemiological studies. • Proficiency in statistical software (SAS, STATA, or R) is required. • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and make effective presentations. • Publication in peer-reviewed medical journals preferred. Interest in data visualization is a plus.
