What You Will Do:

The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing and monitoring of existing and new A/V systems for the client in Huntsville and at facilities nationwide. These systems include Briefing Display Systems, VTC Systems, and Video wall systems etc.

Candidates must be comfortable with developing schedules/timelines for the work that is required to be reviewed by leadership. You will be working with other teams to include system administration, telecommunications engineers, etc. in a collaborative effort in validation and verification of new A/V systems.

You will be called up to brief status updates or present problems and solutions to the team and client. Candidate must be able to explain technical issues to non-technical personnel and in a professional manner.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, procure, and implement A/V systems

  • Create installation design plan (IDP) of A/V equipment

  • Design and implement new A/V solutions or improve capability or efficiency of existing equipment.

  • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) for A/V equipment

  • Report status, issues and recommendations to key stakeholders

  • Develop equipment lifecycle management plan for multiple sites across a large government organization

  • Work with cyber security to maintain security compliance and ATO status for all A/V systems.

  • Utilize engineering drawings, technical specifications, electrical blueprints and schematics to make sure new equipment will integrate into existing systems.

  • Knowledge of IP addresses and intersystem communications



What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT Top Secret federal security clearance.

  • Bachelors in Audio/Visual Engineering or other relevant field, or 4 additional years of experience in audio/visual systems in lieu of degree.

  • At least 8 years of experience in audio/visual systems.

  • Foundations of Crestron Programming, CTI-P101, or equivalent years of experience with Crestron.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience with AutoCAD

  • Security+ Certification

  • Experience with Crestron NVX, Legacy DM and Programming

  • Intermediate Systems Programming – CTI-P201

  • DM Certified Engineering DMC-E-4K

  • Understanding of network protocols for streaming video

  • RMF/Cyber understanding

  • Member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers

  • Familiar with Electronic Industries Association Standards

  • Proficient in International Telecommunications Union Defined Standards

  • SMPTE Training

  • AVIXA Training
