Brown & Brown is seeking a VP Commercial Lines Service & Strategy Leader to join our growing team!
How You Will Contribute:
Develop and maintain a close working relationship with insurance company underwriters and wholesale brokers, while improving consolidation of broker relationships.
Managing key performance indicators in the Property & Casualty service department, in conjunction with the Commercial Lines Team Lead.
Liaison between internal sales personnel and Marketing Analysts.
Carrier and broker relationship management.
Strategic market planning for new business and key accounts.
Periodic discussions with key brokers and underwriters to ensure success and placement optimization.
Coordinated assurance of proper implementation and execution of stewardship accountability with clients as defined by the Profit Center Leader.
Ex. At minimum, delivery to our top 50 clients.
Evaluate prior coverage, exposure, opportunities to improve coverage comprehensiveness at a cost-effective level and position our team to win new business and retain existing clients.
Collaboration with Claims Director to ensure effective claims outcomes.
Develop and monitor department procedures, monitor the workflows, and create or recommend procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness—to be approved by leadership.
Compel quality performance that results in agency growth consistent with our budgeted goals year-to-year.
Oversee the renewal process with the Producer, Account Managers, and Account Associates for select clients, as needed.
Staffing of Commercial Lines department service. Addressing inadequate performance of existing teammates and terminating employment when necessary.
Evaluate teammates’ work performance, set objectives for their professional growth, and make recommendations for merit increases and promotions.
Report all Errors & Omissions concerns, advising staff of correct procedures.
Communicate company and individual agency goals to the teammates.
Training and development resource to all Commercial Lines teammates.
Perform other assignments as required.
Licenses and Certifications:
Property & Casualty License required
CPCU, CIC, or ARM designation preferred
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
10+ years’ experience in a similar position
Bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
