$91,200 - $136,800 CAD

This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Job Description:

  • Lead Talent Review program management, including execution of cycle end to end, driving program outcomes aligning with Talent Management and HR priorities 

  • Facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/ frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.) 

  • Design pilot for Talent Review increased scope; lead external industry discussions, lead stakeholder engagement / change management efforts, and pilot program to inform enterprise approach  

  • Partner with the Talent governance team on GSIB regulatory requirements related to talent; contribute to the development of enhanced standard operating procedures, protocols, guidelines, etc.  

  • Lead talent conversations and actively liaise, engage and influence stakeholder relationships / consultative partnerships within and across the Talent CoE, HROC, HRBPs, Executives and partners enterprise wide, to ensure opportunities are connected and to develop integrated solutions  

  • Lead sophisticated presentation materials that include analysis and insights for executive-level audiences (may include the HR Operating Committee, Senior Executive Team and the Board) 

  • Provide thought leadership on talent management; lead the exploration, development, design and implementation of new program components in alignment with talent strategy 

  • Support management of the program budget, including invoicing and contracting with vendors 

  • Keep current on emerging trends / developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques  

  • Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of plans, programs, and practices related to own area of expertise

  • Provide specialized expertise / counsel to business management and HR teams and continuously develop knowledge in own area of expertise

  • Engage, manage and influence internal/external cross-functional partners to develop/deliver integrated solutions

  • Act as a key reference point and subject matter expert for policies and processes relating to area of expertise

  • Collaborate with partners supporting across all regions and jurisdictions to ensure corporate and regional policies and processes align where appropriate

SHAREHOLDER

  • Lead relationships with corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements

  • Identify, mitigate and report on risk issues per enterprise policy / guidance and ensure appropriate escalation processes are followed

  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)

  • Lead relationships with business lines / corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements

  • Lead in the selection and relationship management of partners to administer plans and programs in a manner that meet key objectives/service level targets

  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations

  • Manage oversight process, risk-based identification and monitoring of related risks and regulatory compliance across the supported functions, while ensuring key controls and processes are effectively managed

  • Oversee or lead the facilitation and/or implementation of action / remediation plans to address performance / risk / governance issues

  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts

  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessary

  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

  • Ensure employees are knowledgeable; and assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct

EMPLOYEE / TEAM

  • Contribute to the development of business segment and/or enterprise functional strategic priorities within their operational area or field of specialty

  • Partner with members of Talent Review team to deliver business goals and objectives as well as partners across Talent Management and HR broadly

  • Share knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teams

  • Act as a brand ambassador for the business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple initiatives and manages resource allocation

  • Establish effective relationships with different Stakeholders, Business Sponsors, Executives and LOB

  • Provide support and contribute to the overall discipline and strategy for respective areas

  • Provide coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business, executives within area of expertise

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses / technology, and organizational practices/ disciplines

  • Sound to advanced knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own function / business

  • Typically reports to a Senior Manager or Executive role 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
