Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Principal Logistics Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on-site at Whiteman, AFB MO. supporting the B2 Program.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform as a Sr Principal Logistics Engineer responsible for Classified Data Purge (CDP) activities operating six items of computer-controlled special test equipment that load, purge and verify successful removal of classified data from the electronic digital memory of six B-2 Line Replaceable Units (LRUs). 

  • Develops and updates work procedures and instructions for interface with various Whiteman Air Force Base agencies. 

  • Performs the duties required as the Material Control Center functional inducting repairable units into the ICS/CRS repair cycle using the Automated Information Management System (AIMS).

  • Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.

  • Performs normal day shift operations with the ability to adapt to unique situations outside normal duty hours.

  • Able to perform Courier duty travel as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or 8 years of experience and an Associates in the Avionics Maintenance Field in lieu of a 4 year degree

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively to team members both verbally and in writing.

  • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Asset Tracking, Calibration, Quality Assurance, Material Management, Performing Audits

  • Ability to acquire and maintain a flightline driver’s license

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active TS Clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI with B-2 Program Access Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills

  • Experience contacting vendors to obtain quotes and resolve technical issues

  • Can work independently with minimal oversight

  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

  • Basic understanding of security practices pertaining to transfer and movement of classified assets

Salary Range: $84,500.00 - $126,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
