Your New Role

WBD is hiring a Research Analyst within the linear sports business unit.  The Research Analyst will be responsible for assisting with reporting across TNT Sports networks and league rights. Successful candidates can uncover trends in data and effectively communicate those insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Input program schedules and other critical information into the NCL database
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from primary and secondary sources for daily reports
  • Create ad hoc reports around key sports tentpoles and upon leadership request
  • Use software applications (such as: Nielsen, NCL, Star Media, etc.) to generate data and reports
  • Create in-depth property recap reports for key internal stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Create performance trends and insights presentations for external property partners
  • Contribute sports knowledge, analytical expertise in strategy sessions

Qualifications & Experience
 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Industry work experience or a relevant internship is preferred 
  • Ability to master new software and technology
  • Must have strong math skills 
  • Solid writing and verbal communication skills 
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate data and analysis thru visual design and written communication
  • Experience with Nielsen software, including Nielsen Content Link, is a must
  • Knowledge of sports leagues, sports industry and sports landscape are a plus
  • Previous experience in Programming or Ad Sales Research is a plus 
  • Proficiency with Excel and Keynote is preferred

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $54,664.00 - $101,519.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
