Responsible for the design, development, testing, and management of the application development projects in support of IT infrastructure. This includes the programmatic integration of third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks. Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for all solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance. Duties include technical project milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, resource estimation, and development best practices knowledge transfer.

Be part of an Agile team who supports a Continuous Vetting Tool and is responsible for operations, maintenance, and enhancements for the CV Tool are executed to the stakeholder’s satisfaction and in accordance with federal security clearance evaluation processes and policies. The CV Tool development team is accountable for ensuring the dependencies and architecture necessary for its continued operation are migrated to the Insider & Security Analytics Platform cloud infrastructure, and for continued optimization of the tool in accordance with the Agency’s Trusted Workforce Program’s evolving business processes and preferences.

oPlans and leads major technology assignments.
oEvaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
oFunctions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
oDecision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
oMay supervise others.

Basic Qualifications:
oBachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems
oManagement, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
o8-12 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
oAbility to work well within a small agile team environment
oStrong communication skills
oUS Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:
oExperience with ELK stack, OpenSearch, SonarQube, Cypress, PowerShell, C#, and Databricks
oExperience with Docker, SQL, Angular, Spring Boot, Nifi, AWS, python, scala, shell scripting, and XML processing
oExperience in AWS solution architecture
oDOD Top Secret Clearance is required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
