Our global Pack is made up of people who thrive on solving hard problems, moving fast, and building technology that protects organizations around the world. We’re proud to be recognized by Forbes, CNBC, Fortune, CRN, Gartner Peer Insights and IDC MarketScape – but what matters most is the work behind it: delivering real outcomes for customers through award winning innovation like our Aurora Platform.

If you’re looking for meaningful work, smart teammates and the chance to make a real impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining security operations, Arctic Wolf is the right place for you!

Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Staff Developer to be part of making this happen.

Role: Staff Developer

We are seeking a Staff Developer to join our Network Appliance team

This is a unique opportunity to work on a product where you influence both hardware and software, helping us scale and optimize our global fleet of network appliances.

Candidates from cybersecurity, financial services, ad tech, or other large-scale data and risk platforms are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the Role

  • As the Staff Developer on the Network Appliances team, you will be designing, building across multiple teams and projects.
  • Lead the architectural design of complex systems spanning multiple components and teams
  • Own and drive implementation of key systems, features, and platform capabilities.
  • Evaluate technical trade-offs, project risks, and architectural decisions to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Champion quality standards, code hygiene, performance, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with architects and senior leads to shape the team’s technical strategy.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

About You

  • 7+ years of experience writing production-level Python or Go code.
  • Expert understanding of networking fundamentals, network stack behaviour, and how devices interact with network traffic.
  • Proven track record designing and delivering complex systems and distributed architectures.
  • Deep knowledge of systems-level software and Linux-based development.
  • Strong experience with Docker and containerization practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify technical risks, anticipate scaling challenges, and align architecture to business goals.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience with device drivers, especially in network appliance contexts.
  • Familiarity with IDS/IPS technologies and how they operate in real-world networks.
  • Understanding of network topologies and inter-device interactions.
  • Exposure to performance testing and tuning across the hardware/software boundary.
  • Multi-year experience working with AWS or other public cloud platforms.
  • Background in cybersecurity, security operations, or related domains.

On-Camera Policy

To support a fair, transparent, and engaging interview experience, candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during all video interviews. Being on camera fosters authentic connection, improves communication, and allows for full engagement from both candidates and interviewers. We understand that technical, bandwidth, or location-related challenges may occasionally prevent video use. If this applies, candidates are required to notify us in advance so we can explore appropriate accommodations.
