Job Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant Director of IT Support, Information Technology, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine [R0152558]
Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, the Assistant Director of IT Support provides operational leadership for the Service Desk, Field Support, and Endpoint Lifecycle Management teams at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. This position supports responsive, reliable, and customer-centered IT services for students, faculty, staff, medical professionals, and community members.
The role is responsible for setting service expectations, supporting staff development, monitoring performance, and driving improvements that strengthen the overall technology support experience. The Assistant Director works closely with the school’s associated clinical practice, UNLV Health, campus partners and IT colleagues to ensure services are efficient, consistent, and aligned with the needs of the school and UNLV Health.
The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Information Technology Department supports a wide range of services for the school and UNLV Health. The department is committed to high-quality service, collaboration, and continuous improvement in support of the school’s academic, clinical, and operational missions.

The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is improving health outcomes in Nevada through innovative education, research, and patient care, with a strong focus on community. Fully accredited and internationally recognized for its research in areas such as brain health, Alzheimer’s disease, and lupus, the school leads advancements across a broad range of medical disciplines. Its associated practice plan, UNLV Health, serves more than 20,000 patients each month across a broad range of primary and specialty care services. By expanding the number of medical students, residents, and fellows, the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine is addressing Nevada’s physician shortage and strengthening the state’s healthcare workforce.
This position provides leadership to a diverse group of IT professionals, works closely with colleagues across the university, and ensures that support services align with departmental goals, customer needs, and operational priorities.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Five (5) years of related experience and three (3) years of supervisory/management experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

Salary range is $101,700.00–$116,200.00 - unable to offer more than stated salary range.
