About the role

About the role: 
 

As the Senior User Experience Designer, you will strategically align with key stakeholders to ensure our delivery outcomes are meeting the needs of both the user, and our internal teams.    
 

You will use your extensive experience to guide and oversee the development and maintenance of the Southern Cross Design System. By establishing and refining a consistent UI design process, you will ensure the UX Design team's input is consistent and sets high design standards 


You will contribute to the improvement process and knowledge and capability building by supporting the Modernise Value Streams in
identifying tools and metrics to measure the ongoing performance of new experiences and fostering a tangible understanding of user experience. 
 


About you:   

  • Experience working with key stakeholders in a complex structure to help improve design processes and uplift delivery  

  • Proven UX & UI design capability that has successfully delivered sustained customer value – evidenced by a portfolio of work showcasing skills, interests, and experience   

  • A clear understanding of usability and accessibility, responsive design techniques plus designing for modern code frameworks   

  • A deep understanding of UX/UI principles and how these can support customer and business outcomes  

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal and visual) ideas, strategies, and journeys clearly  

  • A flexible and adaptive working approach  

  • Experience working within and building a Design System
