Job Summary:

This position is for an eComm & Compliance Engineer supporting and securing all electronic communications within the organization for highly-regulated staff. The individual will work closely with various teams within the Technology organization to ensure compliance and security of all communication-related technologies. This role will also involve providing guidance and support to relevant teams and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily compliance and security activities related to all electronic communication tools including, but not limited to, Microsoft Purview, Telemessage, Behavox, & Global Relay.
  • Consult and provide guidance to teams regarding communication policies, changes, and project-related activities.
  • Ensure all regulated staff have the appropriate communication tools and configurations in place through automated reporting and alerting, conducting weekly reviews of staff reporting and metrics, and creating action plans for any non-compliant communications.
  • Monitor all methods of electronic communication for compliance utilizing Telemessage, Behavox, Global Relay, Smarsh, or other capturing and archiving tools.
  • Create and maintain documentation for responsible technologies including diagrams, SOPs, Technical Security Standards, runbooks, end-user guides, etc.
  • Ensure compliance across all communication tools utilizing automated exception reporting.
  • Continuously document and review recommended best practices to aid in continuous improvement.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements for greater compliance, service delivery optimization, and automating manual processes.
  • Contribute to the design and support of current and future product development from a communications and compliance perspective.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for anything related to the compliance of communication channels and devices and assigned policies and controls.
  • Manage, enhance, and expand communication tools to other lines of business as needed, implement monitoring and reporting of potential compliance incidents, and develop a formalized process for flagging and archiving flagged and legal hold communications .

Qualifications:
 

  • 5-7 years’ experience securing and managing electronic communication tools in an enterprise environment, with financial industry experience a plus.
  • Proficient in eComm capturing and archiving tools, including but not limited to Telemessage, Behavox, Global Relay, Smarsh, and Microsoft Purview, and all related settings and controls.
  • 3-4 years’ experience working with eComm capturing and archiving tools or systems.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, sometimes with narrow deadlines, and take ownership of your area of technology to drive and deliver results.
  • Provide timely, effective, clear, and concise communications.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Education:

•              Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred

The typical base pay range for this role is between $101K - $150K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
