FIS’ Capital Markets segment serves investment banks, investment managers, securities and trading firms, corporations and insurance companies, and more. Our solutions provide for the full transaction processing lifecycle, risk management and compliance across multiple asset classes and lending structures. Spanning both the Sell and Buy Side of the financial services industry, we enable our solutions through our managed and professional services offerings

What you will be doing:

As part of the Project Management Practice within Capital Markets the Project Manager Specialist, Professional Services will ensure the successful end-to-end delivery of the most complex, challenging customer projects and internal change initiatives using a structured, controlled, tool and methodology based, scalable approach. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • In conjunction with the Capital Markets stakeholders, initiate and set goals for projects/programs according to the strategic objectives of the business, planning the programs from start to completion
  • You will ensure the product delivery program (BA, dev, QA i.e. ‘build’), the implementations projects and the support teams (Managed Services, Customer Services) are aligned
  • You will maintain effective dialogue at all levels of a client organisation, up to and including C suite, likewise within the FIS leadership structure
  • Oversight, composition and ownership of the delivery strategy
  • Strictly control and manage deadlines, budgets and activities
  • Assume full responsibility for project/program governance and commercial oversight
  • Responsibility for leading and evaluating Project Managers and other staff as part of a project engagement
  • Helping to review/rescue projects/programs to put them back on track
  • Establish, refine and rollout 'best practice' policy and procedures for program/project management activities across the whole of FIS’ Capital Markets operations

What you will Bring:

  • Substantial proven experience as a Senior Program Manager, having already managed complex/challenging projects and programs
  • Experience working with clients with less mature project delivery models
  • Previous experience in Capital Markets/Financial Services preferably commercial lending.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Ability to relate well to C Suite at clients as well as negotiation skills and ability to influence outcomes with key stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of MS office and program management software (MS Project etc.)
  • First class presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
