The Community Service Retail, Warehouse & Facilities Assistant will support Kokomo Rescue Mission’s community-service operations. The student will gain practical experience in customer service, donation processing, inventory management, warehouse operations, facilities support, and professional workplace practices while helping the organization serve individuals and families throughout the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist customers and donors in a courteous and professional manner.

· Receive, sort, tag, display, and restock donated merchandise.

· Organize inventory, supplies, storage areas, and workspaces.

· Assist with approved loading, unloading, and material-handling tasks.

· Help maintain clean, safe, and orderly retail, warehouse, and facility areas.

· Support basic administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and record organization.

· Assist with approved community events, outreach activities, and special projects.

· Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Work Schedule

· Up to 15 hours per week

· Flexible scheduling based on class schedules and organizational needs.

· Some evening or weekend opportunities may be available depending on projects and events.

Pay Rate$18.00 per hour

General Qualifications:

· Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Office Related Courses and Experience Preferred

· Current Ivy Tech student eligible for Federal Work-Study

Additional Requirements

· Applicant must have a completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.

· Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status to remain aid-eligible.

· Must be enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit hour in eligible courses during employment  or coming term
