From cutting‑edge resources and a collaborative environment to the freedom to make an impact and more, you’ll find the ingredients you need at LPL Financial to shape your success while helping clients pursue their financial goals.

Are you passionate about understanding how modern technology platforms fit together and eager to grow your career in enterprise architecture and engineering enablement? As a Technology Analyst within our Tech Foundations organization, you’ll work at the intersection of platforms, integration, and delivery—helping teams move faster, reduce risk, and modernize core capabilities that power the enterprise.

Job Overview

The Technology Analyst (Tech Foundations) supports the design, analysis, and evolution of foundational technology platforms that enable enterprise‑scale delivery. This role partners closely with solution architects, engineers, platform teams, and security to analyze requirements, document architectures, and support modernization initiatives across integration platforms, developer tooling, AI‑enabled capabilities, and lower‑environment enablement.

This is a hands‑on, highly collaborative role ideal for someone looking to deepen their technical foundation while gaining exposure to large‑scale, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support end‑to‑end solution analysis for platform and integration initiatives, from discovery through delivery

  • Analyze requirements and assist in defining target‑state architectures for cross‑platform solutions

  • Create and maintain architecture artifacts such as system diagrams, integration flows, and technical documentation

  • Assist with the design and analysis of API, integration, and gateway solutions that enable secure enterprise connectivity

  • Partner with engineering and platform teams to ensure solutions align with established architecture standards and best practices

  • Help identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks across architecture, security, and infrastructure

  • Support platform modernization and migration efforts by analyzing current‑state solutions and documenting future‑state designs

  • Contribute to clear communication of technical concepts, decisions, and trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders

What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for a curious, detail‑oriented technologist who enjoys learning how complex systems work and collaborating across teams. You bring a strong analytical mindset, solid technical fundamentals, and a desire to grow your impact in platform and architecture‑focused work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 7+ years of experience in a software engineering, solution architecture, or platform engineering role

  • 7-10 years experience with APIs, integration patterns, and distributed systems

  • 5+ years experience working with cloud technologies or cloud‑based applications (AWS preferred)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical concepts clearly

Core Competencies

  • Technical analysis and problem solving

  • Documentation and architecture visualization

  • Collaboration across engineering and platform teams

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Attention to detail in complex environments

Preferences

  • Exposure to API gateways or integration platforms (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, or similar)

  • Familiarity with modern developer tooling or CI/CD pipelines

  • Interest in AI‑enabled platforms or developer productivity tools

  • Experience supporting platform migrations or modernization initiatives

What Success Looks Like

  • You quickly build context on foundational platforms and how teams use them

  • Architects and engineers rely on your analysis and documentation to make informed decisions

  • Your work helps reduce ambiguity and accelerates delivery across platform initiatives

  • You continuously grow your technical depth while contributing meaningful value to the organization
