Role Purpose
The Area Business Manager (ABM) is accountable for driving sales performance and market share of GSK’s Infinus portfolio in the assigned geography. This role leads a team of Business Executives, ensuring strong execution of brand strategies, effective territory planning, and capability development of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4–8 Business Executives to achieve sales targets and market share objectives.
  • Monitor field activities, conduct joint fieldwork, and provide continuous feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, and product positioning in the field.
  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and address gaps.
  • Drive excellence in doctor engagement, KOL management, and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, medical, supply chain, and HR to enable smooth business operations.
  • Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and adherence to internal policies and ethical practices.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Represent the voice of the field and provide inputs to the leadership team for future planning.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Science / Pharmacy (MBA is an advantage).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of pharma sales experience, with at least 2-3 years in a first-line people management role
  • Prior experience in respiratory portfolio is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
