Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of custom software solutions. This role requires guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position focuses on establishing development standards and ensuring that the software produced meets high benchmarks for quality, scalability, and performance. Collaboration with various stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals is a key aspect, along with continuous monitoring and refinement of solutions to support evolving organizational needs.

- Lead the development and implementation of best practices to enhance software quality and efficiency.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns relevant to custom software development.
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SAP HANA applications.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with debugging, testing, and code review processes to maintain high code quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable and maintainable software design.
- Lead TR retrofit activities across parallel SAP landscapes, ensuring accurate synchronization of changes between development and retrofit systems.
- Design, develop, and optimize ABAP programs, enhancements, and custom objects across SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, etc.).
-Analyze and resolve retrofit conflicts, ensuring minimal downtime and zero disruption to business processes.
- Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Develop and maintain CDS Views, OData services, and ALV reports for enhanced reporting and integration.
- Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and debugging to ensure optimal system performance.
- Support S/4HANA migration projects, ensuring smooth adaptation of custom code to the new environment.
- Hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, with proven expertise in TR retrofit processes.
- Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, and Smart Forms/Adobe Forms.
- Experience with S/4HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
- Deep understanding of transport management system (TMS) and retrofit conflict resolution strategies.
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
