Job Description

Your new role - FP&A Manager - 6 month FTC

We’re looking for a commercially focused and hands-on Interim FP&A Manager to join our Group Finance team. This role is ideally suited to an experienced, qualified accountant with FP&A experience who can quickly add value in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, taking ownership of key FP&A processes while partnering closely with senior stakeholders.

You will play a central role in driving the Group’s financial planning, performance analysis, and reporting. This includes leading the development and delivery of high-quality insights and data to support decision-making at the most senior levels, including the CFO and Board.

As an FP&A Manager, you will be expected to bring a proactive, delivery-oriented mindset, enhancing existing processes, improving data quality and reporting efficiency, and providing clear, actionable insight into business performance from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Data Set Development & Maintenance

  • Own the development, automation, and continuous improvement of financial and operational data sets used across FP&A and Finance.

  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and alignment with internal reporting standards.

  • Drive improvements in reporting processes, tools, and outputs to enhance efficiency and insight.

  • Collaborate with Finance Systems and Commercial Finance teams to optimise data flows and reporting capabilities.

Performance Analysis

  • Drive month-end and weekly trading performance reviews, including identification of opportunities to streamline month-end processes.

  • Assist with delivering clear and actionable insights in high quality excel workbooks and presentations to the highest level of the company, including the board.

  • Monitor KPIs, financial trends, and variances, flagging risks and opportunities.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes across the business.

  • Partner with commercial, operations, and central functions to gather inputs and validate assumptions.

  • Assist in consolidating and presenting forecasts in a clear, digestible format for senior leadership.

CFO Support & Strategic Projects

  • Conduct ad hoc financial modelling, scenario analysis, and deep dives into specific business issues.

  • Prepare clear and concise presentations for senior stakeholders, including Board-level packs.

  • Contribute to business case evaluations and strategic planning exercises.

What You’ll Love About This Role

Think Big: Play a pivotal role in shaping the insights that drive strategic decision-making at the highest level, working with senior leaders and Board members to influence the direction of a dynamic, market-leading business.

Own It: Take end-to-end responsibility for preparing, maintaining, and enhancing high-quality data packs and complex datasets, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and actionable outputs for key stakeholders.

Keep it Simple: Transform large, complex data sources into clear, concise, and visually engaging reports and presentations that make performance trends easy to understand and act upon.

Better Together: Collaborate closely with colleagues across FP&A, Finance Systems, Commercial Finance, and the wider business, building strong relationships to streamline processes and share knowledge.

What Success Looks Like

This is a fixed term contract running until 1 September 2026. Over the course of the contract, you will have:

  • Established strong relationships and built trust with key business partners and the wider finance teams.

  • Gained a detailed understanding of the Group’s activities, commercial drivers, and strategic priorities, as well as an appreciation of challenges and nuances across each area of the business.

  • Developed a solid understanding of the Group FP&A reporting cycle and systems, becoming familiar with key workflows, and identified processes that could be improved for more efficient ways of working.

  • Embraced Global’s brands, values & behaviours and passion for the business.

What You’ll Need

  • Qualified accountant (preferred) – with a proven track record of career progression in a dynamic organisation.

  • Proven FP&A experience, ideally within a fast-paced or complex organisation.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate at a manager level, with ownership of processes and senior stakeholder engagement.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with FP&A tools and data visualisation is advantageous.

  • Strong PowerPoint skills – capable of creating clear, visually engaging presentations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – confident engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to deliver impact quickly in an interim capacity.
