$17.65 - $26.50Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist II receives orders for laboratory testing, collects blood from patients of any age or status and issues appropriate paperwork to the Floyd lab or outside for processing. He/she maintains the laboratory in an efficient working state and performs lab procedures while ensuring quality control.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
PBT (ASCP) or equivalent
Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of a formal training program in Phlebotomy
Completion of departmental clinical evaluation checklist
Experience Required:
At least one year experience.
Two years hospital experience preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for
extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries weight up to 50 pounds. Ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols with vision
and hearing within normal range to respond to Code alerts and equipment alarms. Work-related stress due to volume and time constraints with
irregular working hours
