The Opportunity

 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure technologies, including AWS Connect, Lambda functions, Azure API Management (APIM), call flow builds, and strong business knowledge in Life Insurance, Long Term Care, and Annuities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing full stack solutions on AWS and Azure, while also providing technical leadership and guidance. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications and services, with a focus on integrating AWS Connect, Lambda functions, and Azure APIM for call flow builds related to Life Insurance, Long Term Care, and Annuities.

Work location: Boston-USA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days from Home)

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Design, develop, and deploy full stack applications and services on AWS and Azure with a focus on Insurance industry products such as Life Insurance, Long Term Care, and Annuities
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with architectural guidelines and best practices
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions tailored to the Insurance industry
  • Integrate AWS Connect, Lambda functions, and Azure APIM for call flow builds and communication services specific to Life Insurance, Long Term Care, and Annuities
  • Utilize strong business knowledge of Insurance products to inform technology solutions and customer experiences
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security on AWS and Azure platforms
  • Stay up-to-date with AWS and Azure best practices, tools, and technologies relevant to Insurance industry applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS and Azure infrastructure and applications for Insurance products
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical documentation

 

What we are looking for

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 4-6 years of industry hands-on work experience
  • Proven experience in full stack development with proficiency in AWS and Azure technologies
  • Strong working experience in AWS Connect, Lambda functions, Azure API Management, and call flow builds, with a focus on Insurance industry products
  • Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies such as JavaScript, Node.js, React, Angular, Python, and SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud architecture, microservices, and containerization
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile environment
  • Strong business knowledge of Life Insurance, Long Term Care, and Annuities

Salary range is expected to be between

$85,750.00 USD - $159,250.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
