Your Role in Our Story: 

In essence, your role involves:   

  • Actively participating in building a new country business line, and having a strategic and tactical approach to implement a solid base for future growth  
  • Building your own client portfolio through direct prospecting and networking to originate new business and increase market share  
  • Understanding and identifying arbitrage opportunities in the renewable energy commodity market to originate deal flow for your trade book  
  • Creating strategic trade solutions to ensure obligated parties reach their compliance goals  
  • Developing an understanding of the landscape within the market including product knowledge, industry challenges, legislative and geopolitical changes  
  • Maintaining and leveraging relationships in the Brazilian renewable energy sector  
  • Representing the firm at conferences and engage with stakeholders within the industry  

 

 

Your Expertise: 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes: 

  • Fluent in Brazilian Portuguese; Spanish a big plus 
  • 3-5 years of sales, trading, brokerage or account management role  
  • Highly self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly  
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to inspire and motivate a team 
  • Demonstrates a strong entrepreneurial mindset, think in solutions 
  • Ability to build a strong business network and use it 
  • Has been successful in drafting and delivering a Business Plan and/or building a business from scratch 
  • Has a pre-existing experience with working with Brazil corporates; an already existing BR client portfolio would be a plus 
  • Previous sales, cold calling, outreach, prospecting experience  
  • Undergraduate Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Environmental Studies or a related field  

 

Note: this role is based 100% onsite in our Miami office  

Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000 + discretionary bonus   

Actual base pay may vary based on various factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, level and experience. The base pay is just one component of the total competitive compensation package for employees.
