About the role

We are currently recruiting for Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the depot, including purchase orders and workshop support. Operations Supervisor will ensure Health & Safety compliance, efficient equipment maintenance, and a well-organized workforce.

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operational needs of the depot.
• Coordinating, prioritizing, and resolving team issues efficiently.
• Optimizing manpower, time, equipment, and energy usage.
• Escalating critical issues that impact business operations.
• Managing the team in line with established programs and objectives.
• Handling quality issue management.
• Contacting customers, gathering feedback, and maintaining strong relationships.
• Responding to complaints and conducting satisfaction investigations to drive improvements.
• Leading on aspects of H&S by setting an example.
• Working closely with the Depot Manager to address issues promptly and promote open communication.
• Collaborating with the sales team and operational management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in managing a small team - ideally in Plant Hire industry
• Relevant Mechanical experience, ideally with pumps or generators
• Supervisory skills
• Excellent IT Skills (Word, Excel)
• Time Management
• Administration Skills
• UK driving license
