Job Description Summary:

Responsible for timely and maintaining scheduled deliveries of medical supplies, equipment, mail, medical records to West Tennessee Healthcare locations. Responsible for inventory adjustments and accuracy. Responsible for tracking packages and incoming/outgoing deliveries. Responsible for receiving medical supplies, and equipment into the automated inventory management system. Responsible for entering all receiving documents into the inventory management system. Responsible for mapping out the efficient delivery routes. Responsible for safety and maintaining delivery truck Employee is subject to call back and overtime as required by the hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of all goods that are assigned to the delivery driver.
  • The delivery driver must complete all paperwork, delivery documents, receipts, accurately and legibly.
  • The delivery driver must drive safely at all times and conduct timely safety inspections of the delivery vehicle and follow all West Tennessee Healthcare Safety Guidelines.
  • Receives and processes all general medical supplies and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Enters all receipts into the automated inventory management system.
  • Transports packages between West Tennessee Healthcare locations.
  • Responsible for making decisions and answering inquiries regarding the movement and distribution of all goods.
  • Responsible for communicating delivery delays or schedule changes to the appropriate individuals or departments.
  • Responsible for mapping out the most efficient delivery route to desired locations.
  • Backup to inventory control manager and Central Stores East supervisor.
  • Backup to mailroom specialist.
  •   Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or high school equivalent certificate.  


LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, CERTIFICATION:

Valid Tennessee Drivers License.  


EXPERIENCE:

Experience in driving a truck and making deliveries through orientation and on the job training according to WTH guidelines. Experience and training will be provided for healthcare inventory management systems.
