The Global Finance Business Process Owner reports directly to the Head of Group Reporting & Finance Operations, Mie Boesen Huss. This is a global position based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Travel days can be expected for support of our Svitzer regions and operations worldwide and ad hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities

As Global Finance Business Process Owner, you will be working closely with Finance and other cross-functional colleagues in the Svitzer Head Office, in our regions and with our Global Service Centre, to deliver on the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Take the initiative in leading key priorities within process optimisations and support finance and key stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Design, automate and implement finance processes to support business needs as well as regulatory and group compliance requirements.
  • Continuously optimise and standardise finance processes across our organisation, including collaborate and coordinate with other functional areas. This also include ensuring the standard operational procedures are kept updated
  • As Svitzer is the process of implementing a new ERP system, this will for an interim period be applicable for both the legacy and the new ERP system. Implement the run-mode Finance processes for Svitzer new ERP system. This requires a close cooperation with the core project team as well as our Global Service Centre
  • Serve as key liaison between Svitzer’s finance organisation and relevant stakeholders such as, the other global process owners in Svitzer as well as external auditors.
  • Supervise and ensure high quality and standardisation of deliverables by our team in the Global Service Centre.
  • Support ad hoc projects, when relevant

Who we are looking for?

You are an energetic, analytical and enjoy working in a dynamic, international environment. You ensure high quality deliverables based on input from various stakeholders while meeting deadlines.

You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Essential to your success in this role is your ability to collaborate and build strong relationships across various levels and functions of the Svitzer organisation.

In addition:

  • A relevant master’s degree in accounting, Auditing or Finance and comes with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with process design/process mapping in areas such as Record-to-report, Purchase-to-Pay, or Order-to-Cash.
  • Experience in collaboration with various stakeholders including close cooperation with Global Service Centre.
  • Good understanding of IT and acknowledge that IT and automation is an integrated part of all business processes.
  • Fluency in both oral and written English.
  • You must hold a valid Danish residence and work permit
