Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Senior Principal Industrial Security Analyst at our Melbourne, FL location.


Roles and Responsibilities: Serves as the Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) for several collateral DoD programs at the Melbourne Site ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program and corporate security directives. Responsible for implementation and oversight for all security disciplines with special emphasis on the security requirements for classified US Government and International programs. Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.  Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials. Conducts security education classes, security audits and is responsible for the semi-annual security self-inspection. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Interacts with all levels of management and Government customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 Years of Security experience with Bachelors; OR 8 years with Masters; OR an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Candidate must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Top-Secret clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

  • Experience with DoD Programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Business, Security or related fields

  • Experience with DoD Manual 32 CFR 117

  • Relevant certifications such as DCSA FSO certification, ISP, COMSEC

  • Prior FSO experience

  • Efficient, proactive, responsive team player with excellent written and oral communication skills; able to interface effectively with all levels of corporate management and government customers.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time sensitive deliverables. Hands on, self-starting, disciplined and detail-oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.

Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $142,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
