Control Testing Automation Team automates manual testing through data driven capabilities using industry standard tools & techniques in collaboration with Business, Internal Audit, Internal Citi Risk and Control and Technology.
Through automation we identify control, testing gaps and provide the evidence to Business/Risk teams to mitigate any type of risk like Regulatory/AML/KYC/Sanctions/Anti Bribery/Sales Practice/Reputational/Fraud and Theft.
Expertise Required:
Responsibility
- Responsible for end-to-end delivery of control testing automation tools for entire group, overseeing entire Control Testing Automation life cycle from requirement management to implementation.
- Role at this level usually has full ownership for more than one processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables
- Lead a team of Mangers of Managers and SMEs (Designers, Developers, Testers, solution Leads, production support etc.)
- Develop and implement data analytics strategies to support business objectives and drive decision-making processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on data-driven insights to support business planning and resource allocation.
- Stay current to industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics to constantly improve process and methodologies.
- Liaison with Business, R&C teams, Operations and Technology stakeholders to identify Control Testing Automation future opportunities and create framework around it.
- Critically Assess new tools and identify those that align with organizations goals and technical landscape.
Analytical & Project Management Skills
- Good with formulating analytical methodology, identifying inconsistencies, anomalies & patterns with data.
- Skillful in transforming data sets and performing quantitative & qualitative analysis with Data.
- Provide recommendations and generate actionable Business Insights.
- Proficient with data manipulation and problem solving to effectively work with large datasets and drive actionable conclusions.
- Champion and execute controls testing automation strategic plan, suggest thought leadership ideas for target state.
- Have good knowledge of project management principles, good at stakeholder management.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Having productive team meetings, 1-on-1 meetings regularly with all team members
- Understand concerns, challenges and roadblocks team is facing and provide them all the required support to overcome the same.
- Extensive knowledge of automation tools and technologies with the ability to solve complex problems.
Tools and Platforms
- Hands-on experience in SAS, SQL, Python and have strong RDBMS concepts.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA
Nice to have – Experience on below:
- Workflow management tools like Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket (Version Control) etc.
Domain Skills
- Banking Products (Wealth, Cards, Deposit, Loans & Insurance etc.)
Functional Skills
- Business risk, controls, compliance, and data management.
- Knowledge of Finance Regulations, Understanding of Audit Process
Soft Skills
- Proven leadership ability with experience in mentoring and developing a team of managers/SMEs.
- Should have excellent communication and inter-personal skills with ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree in information technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications / Engineering from a premier institute. BTech/B. E/MCA in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications.
- (Preferred) Postgraduate in – Masters in computers
- 15+ years of experience in leading large teams comprises
- Experience developing and implementing analytical strategies (model and non-model based targeting, segmentation, and customer research) in the financial services industry
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills
- In-depth understanding of the various financial service business models, expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and how to apply the techniques to drive substantial business results
