What We Offer

  • Compensation – We support transparency, equity, and fairness in our compensation programs and provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range, based on data-driven market analysis, for each job posting. While it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, a reasonable estimate of the salary ranges are as follows: Tampa, FL: $81,100 - $118,100 per year. Atlanta, GA; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Charlotte, NC; and Dallas, TX: $85,200 - $124,100 per year. Houston, TX; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; and Philadelphia, PA: $89,200 - $130,000 per year. Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Washington, DC (Headquarters); Ashburn, VA; and Boston, MA: $93,300 - $135,900 per year. New York, NY: $101,400 - $147,700 per year. San Francisco, CA: $105,400 - $153,600 per year.

  • Hybrid work option – Staff will be assigned to one of our offices or locations, including: Washington, DC (Headquarters); Ashburn, VA; Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; New York, NY; Charlotte, NC; Philadelphia, PA; Dallas, TX; and Houston, TX. Staff can choose to live and work from anywhere within the United States but will be required to commute to their assigned office or location for occasional intentional gatherings or meetings at the frequency required by their supervisor. Travel to an assigned office or location for commuting purposes will not be considered reimbursable business travel, unless otherwise required by state law. Business travel is reimbursable in an amount not exceeding the cost to travel from the assigned office or location, unless otherwise required by state law.

Position Summary

The Portfolio Analyst will support the Senior Manager, IT Portfolio Management and Reporting, in the strategic management and execution of the PCAOB's technology portfolio. This role will focus on data analysis, portfolio reporting, and supporting the development and implementation of portfolio management processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and a passion for data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize data related to IT projects, including budgets, timelines, resource allocation, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and measure the return on investment (ROI) of technology initiatives.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.

  • Conduct portfolio health checks and identify areas for improvement in project delivery and portfolio management processes.

Resource Management Support:

  • Assist in the analysis of resource demand across the project portfolio and proactively identify potential bottlenecks or constraints.

  • Support the development and implementation of tools and processes to track resource utilization and forecast future capacity needs.

  • Assist in the optimization of resource allocation to ensure projects and teams are adequately staffed to meet commitments.

Portfolio Prioritization & Governance:

  • Support the development and implementation of a robust prioritization and scoring framework.

  • Assist in the preparation of materials for portfolio review meetings and decision-making forums.

  • Ensure adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures for project selection, initiation, execution, and closure.

Project Support:

  • Provide analytical support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Track and monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and escalate issues as needed.

  • Assist in the preparation of project status reports and presentations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve portfolio management processes and tools.

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in IT portfolio management

Qualifications

Education/Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 2-5 years of experience in a data analysis, business analysis, or project management role within an IT environment.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and draw meaningful insights.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
