What You Will Do:

As a Software Engineer II, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team which is responsible for the design and development JCI flagship Metasys Building Automation System (BAS) products. Our BAS products are used globally to control and manage buildings for energy efficiency, comfort, and health. You will design and develop infrastructure for our software product.

How You Will Do It:

  • As an individual contributor, you will plan, develop, and test software for infrastructure and data access

  • Work closely with Tech Lead to implement technical requirements and contribute to design decisions

  • Participate in agile software planning and development activities including daily standups, user story refinement, task breakdown and effort estimation

  • Be responsible for team on-time delivery and quality

  • Desire to jump in where needed. Resolve blocking issues and guide junior/new team members to resolve issues

  • Learn new technologies and work effectively across the full stack

What We Look For:

Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of software development experience developing software products

  • Outstanding software development skills with strong issue analysis skills – software performance design and tuning, and software debugging techniques

  • Coding skills in .NET/C# and SQL Server, and experience migrating from .NET Framework to .NET 8

  • Full-stack preferred and/or strong interest to learn full-stack software development: Windows and Linux server, UI front-end, services back-end and knowledge of installation software

  • Ability to work in a CI/CD workflow – bring your new ideas with you

  • Experience working on both Windows and Linux operating systems

  • Passion for Technology: Quickly learn new technologies, have a passion for software and a pulse on industry trends

  • Global Perspective: Ability to work collaboratively in global team
