Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working as a part of the MGM Automation and Rigging team to maintain and operate Automation and Rigging equipment professionally, safely and consistently for MGM Resorts. Typical operations include but are not limited to maintenance, resident show creation and operation, special events, theatre rentals, and other scheduled activities on MGM Resort property supported by the Entertainment Division and its programming
  • After suitable orientation, Automation and Rigging Technicians may assist as secondary crew leads for relevant operations and special projects or tasks
  • Operate Automation and Rigging elements and equipment professionally and consistently for a resident show(s) creation, performance, and rehearsals, as well as all other activities supported by the Entertainment Division
  • Assist the Automation and Rigging Manager in maintaining artistic integrity and design intent for all relevant resident show(s) content aspects
  • Ensure the Automation and Rigging Department provides exceptional service to any MGM client or guest when relevant or required
  • As directed, inspect and maintain all Automation and Rigging elements, equipment, and systems; update maintenance, inspection, and inventory data; and ensure all documentation is clear and concise


Job Requirements:

  •  1-2 years experience as a theatrical or event stagehand preferred
  •  Technical theatre background preferred
  • College Diploma and/or related technical accreditation and relevant experience preferred
  • Must possess fluent English language skills, both written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate in Cantonese and Mandarin (both written and verbal) preferred
  • Strong computer knowledge, including PC-based systems and MS Office software, is preferred
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
