We're looking for a strategic, curious, and impact-driven Senior Director to play a hands-on role leading and growing our portfolio of Life Science and Enterprise Technology Groups.

🧐 Move with Purpose: 

In this role, moving with purpose means acting as a strategic anchor for our clients while driving the growth and development of our internal teams. Day-to-day you will: 

  • Be responsible for client retention, staff development, and portfolio growth.
  • Be a trusted strategic partner to our enterprise and life science clients, their executive teams, and drive communications strategies that will help them reach their full potential.
  • Synthesize complex technical concepts into compelling, market-moving narratives that resonate with business, trade media, and new media alike.
  • Work with Mission North’s integrated studio members to provide clients with programs that utilize traditional PR, digital, creator, and social.
  • Maintain and leverage high-level relationships with key journalists, analysts, and editors to secure needle-moving coverage for clients.
  • Manage budgets and team resources. 
  • Drive client calls, team planning sessions, new business pitches, end-of-month reporting, and invoicing
  • Conceptualize inventive influencer strategies and drive influencer engagement
  • Serve as a key contributor in new business
  • Cultivate the agency’s sphere of influence with agency peers, VCs, etc.
  • Manage 1-2 direct reports as well as mentor Account Managers and Senior Associates
  • Drive new business development by analyzing RFPs, crafting compelling proposals, and delivering persuasive client pitches

 

🤿 Go Deeper: 

Going deeper means moving beyond the surface of a press release to truly understand the technologies and trends shaping the future of enterprise. Qualifications include: 

  • A minimum of 10-12 years of communications or PR agency experience, preferably with life science technology, AI, and cloud infrastructure companies or related industries
  • Demonstrated experience developing, directing, and executing strategic communications programs that blend PR, content marketing, social media, and data
  • Experience helping disruptive technology companies develop compelling messaging, storylines, and thought leadership platforms
  • Are passionate about how these technologies are redefining how we live and work. 
  • Established relationships with top-tier trade media and bloggers, vertical market media and national and local business media
  • Experience running integrated PR programs, including paid content
  • Experience working with household names and emerging/disruptor brands in B2B technology, including data and cloud infrastructure, applied AI, business process optimization, life science technology, healthcare technology and other key elements of the modern business technology stack 
  • Experience with driving new business

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills and prior relevant experience. 

Mission North cares about you and your overall well-being, and that’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package, for full-time employees, that includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan including an employer match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellbeing benefits, paid time off, paid parental leave, and several paid holidays, among others.

Pay Range:  Expected Salary range depending on experience: $140,000 - $185,000, not including year end profit sharing bonus.
