Looking to hire a Intermediate developer to be a part of the Middle Office, Markets Operations technology group in Pune. The candidate hired on this role would be responsible for delivering on client facing technology platforms and metrics analytics for the middle office and operations groups. The ideal candidate for this role would bring in expertise in designing and developing software meeting quality standards defined for the team and the franchise.

Job Description:

This is a critical C11 Java Full stack role in the Markets Operations Technology organization for Variable Expense Management platform.

The candidate is expected to contribute towards business deliveries, build and maintain the new generation DevOps infrastructure in Cloud for the platforms, truly own the components within the platform with accountability towards quality, stability and timeliness of the delivery, act as the client facing point person for APAC/EMEA middle office and operations to support businesses users and drive reengineering efforts for the components of the platform towards scalability and extensibility.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct tasks related to feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, model development, and establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs or user areas
• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, provide evaluation of business process, system process, and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Drive the adoption of modern engineering ways of working, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Advocate for automated testing, infrastructure as code, and continuous monitoring to enhance software reliability.
• Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and unit testing to ensure code quality and functionality.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices in readability, performance, and security.
• Implement and enforce secure coding practices, performing vulnerability assessments and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Relevant Technologies:

Spring/Hibernate, Angular 2+, Version Control, Strong Relational Database experience, Unix Scripting, Job Scheduling, CI/CD setup

Qualification / Experience;

• Min 4+ years of experience as Java Developer and at least 4 yrs exp in Java 8+.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• At least 4 years of experience working with Spring (Core, Integration, Batch)/Hibernate technologies and proven experience with using them in a large scale high volume environment.
• Good working experience on Angular 2+, Unix Scripting, etc.,
• Solid knowledge of SQL in the context of a major RDBMS.
• Comfortable working with XML parsing (including schemas), JSON and third party libraries
• Well versed with design standards & frameworks, experience in working on multiple technologies. 
• Quick learner of new tools and technologies. Methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, Test Driven Development. 
• Tools – Git, IntelliJ IDEA/Eclipse, Maven, TeamCity, Jenkins, JIRA and automated testing tools like Junit
• Excellent project management, time management, verbal and written communications skills, as the job entails simultaneously managing multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude, ability to run projects with minimal direction given the geographically distributed nature of the team
• Experience in building/converting the Application to Microservices

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
