Job Summary

The Los Angeles Kings are seeking a motivated and dynamic Seasonal Marketing Associate to support our brand marketing initiatives and campaigns. In this role, you will assist with various marketing efforts, including executing influencer marketing strategies, coordinating event marketing activities, and contributing to overall brand promotion. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports marketing, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Essential Functions

  • Attend home games and assist the marketing and social media teams with the upkeep of social media platforms, influencer needs, merchandise maintenance, and any additional tasks as assigned.
  • Attend promotional events as a representative of the marketing team to engage and interact with fans.
  • Assist the social media team with content conceptualization, creation, and curation.
  • Attend mobile marketing activations to increase Kings presence across the greater Los Angeles area.
  • Engage and brainstorm with the marketing team on game day content. Help plan for the season (giveaway items, theme nights, fan activations, merchandise partnerships, etc.).
  • Assist with the market research on digital marketing campaigns, event engagement activities, ticketing strategy, sponsor activations, etc.
  • Scheduling and publishing across Kings’ ancillary social accounts (Bailey, We Are All Kings, LA Kings Ice Crew).

Required Qualifications

The Marketing Associate must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:

  • Passion for sports and live entertainment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (AirTable, Monday.com).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube).
  • Desire to learn more about the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Must be available to work most home games; nights and weekends.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalency (BA/BS Degree Preferred) in Marketing, Business, Journalism or related field

Experience:

  • 1-2 years experience in sports marketing

Pay scale: $17.28
