Leading the team of technicians and performing maintenance tasks in the Golice wind farm, approx. 50/50%. Planning and monitoring the maintenance of the wind farm to ensure its effective operation, through planning maintenance, team coordination, and compliance with HSE, quality, and operational standards.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Wind Farm Management

  • Planning, organizing, supervising, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal wind farm performance.
  • Effective scheduling and reporting of maintenance and operational tasks.
  • Verification of expenditures, working hours, overtime, timesheets, and other asset-related documentation.
  • Supporting and coordinating major corrective maintenance activities.
  • Coordinating, monitoring, and supervising subcontractors on-site.
  • Identifying and resolving technical and operational issues in daily wind farm operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and Acciona’s HSE, technical standards, and internal policies.
  • Conducting regular inspections of wind turbines and associated infrastructure.
  • Managing and controlling spare parts, tools (including calibration), consumables, and materials inventory.
  • Ensuring proper validation and usage of tools and equipment.
  • Monitoring and supporting substation operation; participating in maintenance and providing local operational assistance as required.

Wind Farm Maintenance

  • Performing routine maintenance and inspections of wind turbines.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues in turbine systems.
  • Installing updates, patches, improvements, and additional components in wind turbines.
  • Complying with HSE regulations and standards.

Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all personnel, including subcontractors, possess valid training, certifications, authorizations, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for their tasks.
  • Control site access, including verification of subcontractor documentation and PPE compliance.
  • Validate and supervise the correct use of PPE and safety equipment on-site.
  • Communicate HSEQ standards to site technicians and ensure following Acciona procedures and policies.

Promptly report and document any incidents or accidents in accordance with Acciona guidelines and manage related follow-up actions.

Required Skills and Competencies

Degree/Training:   Technical education - Master’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Renewable Energy, Electromechanics, or a related technical field. 

Additional Training:  Cat. B driving license. Electrical certificate SEP, UDT use certificate for elevators and hoists, GWO certificate (WAH) 

Profile:   The candidate is a technically skilled and well-organized professional with strong planning abilities and experience managing wind farm maintenance activities, reporting, and documentation. They demonstrate solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, a strong commitment to HSE compliance, and effective management of tools, spare parts, and materials. Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven, the candidate works independently with high-quality standards and is eager to learn, adapt, and support a wide range of operational tasks.  

Languages/Level:  Local language (Polish); English - Pre-intermediate A2/B1 (Able to communicate in everyday situations with commonly-used expressions and vocabulary related to the work. Has the necessary fluency to communicate with foreign speakers.) 

Years/Areas experience required:  min. 5 yrs as a wind turbine maintenance technician, preferably min 2 years as Team Leader / Supervisor
