Partner the best

Kantori is Baker Hughes’ unified digital autonomous well construction solution that integrates artificial intelligence, physics-based models, and real-time analytics to optimize and automate the entire well construction lifecycle—from planning and execution to monitoring and performance improvement.

The platform enables data-driven decision-making, reducing nonproductive time (NPT) and invisible lost time (ILT), while improving rate of penetration (ROP), operational efficiency, and overall well quality. By transitioning from reactive workflows to intelligent automation, Kantori helps deliver safer, more consistent, and higher-performing drilling operations.

As a Kantori Professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring Kantori system performance, data quality, and connectivity to ensure smooth operation.
  • Ensuring all advisory tools (tripping/surge, hydraulics, hole cleaning, torque & drag, ROP, and vibration) are functioning correctly and providing accurate recommendations.
  • Maintaining and update live engineering data, including well geometry, operating limits, and operational constraints.
  • Updating Intelligent Well Planning cases based on operational changes such as:
    • Pore pressure and ECD window revisions.
    • BHA configuration or tool limitation changes.
    • Updated WOB, RPM, flow rate, and ROP limits.
  • Preparing daily performance reports, including KPI tracking, activity coding, and optimization event documentation.
  • Highlighting key operational trends and findings during daily operational review meetings.
  • Monitoring NOVOS system behavior, mode changes, and automated drilling sequences remotely.
  • Identifying and reporting deviations, manual overrides, and inefficient operating practices.
  • Providing regular updates to stakeholders through Microsoft Teams and other communication channels.
  • Explaining advisor alerts, escalate issues and opportunities, and follow up on action items with rig and engineering teams.
  • Identifying optimization opportunities including:
    • Surge and swab risks during tripping.
    • High ECD or hydraulic inefficiencies.
    • Poor hole cleaning performance.
    • Increased torque, drag, or friction issues.
    • ROP inconsistencies and vibration risks.
  • Communicating operational recommendations and verify implementation by field teams.
  • Performing Level 1 troubleshooting for platform access, visualization, and data feed issues.
  • Escalating complex technical problems with clear documentation and supporting information.

Fuel your passion:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proved experience in the oil and gas industry).
  • Relevant experience in Drilling Services operations.
  • Strong understanding of optimizing drilling and completions practices.
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting and resolving basic software, computer, and network issues.
  • Proficiency with understanding and working with large cross-functional teams across different organizations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
